Resistance
Why You Need It
Is it possible to love resistance?
We face resistance every single day. Majority of the times it is unwelcomed, unwanted, and uncalled for.
It typically brings frustration because the very definition of resistance is to go against you.
But something we forget is that anything worth accomplishing is always hiding behind resistance.
Steven Pressfield, the author of The War of Art writes “Resistance’s goal is not to wound or disable. Resistance aims to kill”
Resistance aims at our our genius, it aims at our unique calling and purpose that is the very reason we are put on this earth.
Everyone has the power to achieve incredible feats but first they have to go through resistance.
Resistance is a deceiver and a manipulator. It will never tell you the truth.
Resistance often reveals it’s lying self through procrastination.
Resistance does not say “you will never achieve your dreams.”
Resistance says “You can achieve your dreams tomorrow.”
Then it will say the same thing tomorrow.
The last thing resistance wants is for you to attack it head on.
It will do everything in its power to ensure that you stay as far away as possible.
Like a dangerous dragon protecting the valuable goal.
We have to slay the dragon. We have to fight through resistance knowing that their is unimaginable wealth on the other side.
What if that was our mind set when faced with resistance?
What if we were able to get excited when we experience resistance because we know we are on the right path?
In pursuit of your dreams you will face resistance but the people who come out on the other sides are the ones who have a story to tell.
Go out and face resistance. Go out and make a difference.
