Awareness
What You Measure Grows
Last week we talked about one of the hardest concepts to implement. If you missed it check it out here: One More
This week is a much easier concept to implement and it is often the first step into introducing positive change into your life.
And that is the concept of awareness.
Before you set out on the adventure of changing something in your life, you first have to be aware of what you are changing. (duh)
It is obvious yet extremely powerful.
The best way to build awareness is to start tracking the activity you are wanting to grow in.
What you measure grows.
If you want to start saving more money then start measuring your money.
If you want to run more then start tracking your miles on a weekly basis.
Ignorance is bliss and so often we live in a fantasy world by avoiding the cold hard numbers.
By implementing honest awareness and measuring your activity you will start seeing your true actions.
And more importantly where you need to increase the activity in order to see the results you are looking for.
But it all starts with taking an inventory of your actions.
If you are having trouble committing to habit, start with your awareness.
Then watch as awareness will naturally start working for you.
It is not a silver built but it is a simple tool in your tool belt to help you become the person you are meant to be.
Go out and be aware. Go out and make a difference.
