Unlimit The Good
I recently learned that the human body has approximately 11 million sensory receptors.
Out of those 11 million sensory receptors almost, 10 million of them are used for sight.
Which makes sense, due to how much we rely on our vision.
By understanding how much we rely on our sight, we can start using our vision to help us limit the bad things and unlimit the good things in our lives.
An example of how our sight can hurt us:
Take a simple plate of cookies conveniently located on the table in the middle of your kitchen.
You innocently walk into the kitchen, completely unaware that the cookies are there, and you end up eating one…. or three.
Simply because you saw them.
But the good news is that our sight can also help set us up for success.
An example of how our sight can help us:
Take a bowl of apples conveniently located on the table in the middle of your kitchen.
You innocently walk into the kitchen, completely unaware that the apples are there, and you end up eating one.
Simply because you saw them.
The same process, yet different results.
Our vision is very powerful, and it is often one of the main in whether we make a decision that’s good or bad.
The only thing that is different in those two examples is what the person saw and the environment they created.
If sight is so important, then what we choose to see is equally as important.
If you want to start running more, then put your shoes in a place that is visible.
If you want to start taking your vitamins, then make sure they are not hidden in a cabinet somewhere.
If you want to stop eating junk food then hide, (or don’t buy) the junk food. Make it invisible.
Unlimit the good habits in your life by first making them visible. It will not automatically build the habit… but it will remind you.
Limit the bad habits by making them invisible.
Your sight is beyond powerful. Use it to your advantage. Do not let it sabotage you.
Go out and unlimit the good. Go out and make a difference.
