Golden Vision
Your Gold Vision
Over the past couple of years, I have read dozens of biographies of the most influential people in the world. Anyone from Martin Luther, who went toe to toe with one of the most powerful organizations of all time (the Catholic Church) to William Wilberforce, who led the abolishment of the slave trade in Britain, all the way to Elon Musk, who is currently trying to make the human race a multi-planetary species. What did all of these men have in common? A Golden Vision. let’s dive in.
Where Are You Looking?
Martin Luther believed that the only way to reach Heaven was through faith and faith alone, not indulgences. William Wilberforce believed that every person is inherently equal, regardless of race. Elon Musk believes that humanity is capable enough to reside on multiple planets inside our galaxy. These three visions have completely changed the world we live in.
What is your vision? What are you setting your gaze on that is carrying you through the day? Let me be the first to tell you that your vision does not have to change the entire world but your vision for life should change your world. More importantly, your vision should change the world of your Tribe.
Setting Vision
Setting a vision for your life is a sure-fire way of setting yourself apart. There are too many individuals who are walking through life with no idea where they are going. And it makes sense. Setting a vision is hard. It requires time, honesty, thoughtfulness, and most importantly action but living a life filled with vision will set you apart.
I want to offer you two thoughts on finding a vision:
Everyone has a vision, whether they know it or not.
Actions determine your priorities. If you do not think you have a vision, then look at your actions. It is the action that you take that reveals what your vision is. If you currently do not like your actions then establish an intentional vision.
To Get Your Vision, First Read About Others.
If you are having a hard time finding your vision, start finding stories of people with visions. Find biographies of people you admire, listen to podcasts of successful people, or reach out to someone in your life with a vision and get mentored.
This Golden Vision should bring joy to your heart, it should be a reason to get out of bed, and it should be what controls your actions. Go and find your Golden Vision.
Go Out. Make a Difference.
P.S. If your vision is to change the world then go for it. Aaaand reach out by replying to this email because I am on board.
