Recently, I have been learning about learning.

Learn is the process of acquiring new knowledge, skills, behaviors, or understanding through experience, study, or instruction. - Webster Dictionary

The word that sticks out to me within that definition is, process.

Since learning is a process, that means there are ways to expedite and delay the process.

Someday I will take a deeper dive into the ways to expedite the learning process but for now I want to focus on how to avoid delaying the process.

Learning a new skill, habit, or behavior is challenging.

It takes time, persistence, courage, and patiences.

But most importantly, it takes humility.

The easiest way to not learn anything new is to be prideful.

Ego brings learning to screeching halt.

Humility will practice, make a mistake, learn from it, and gets better.

Ego will say that you don’t need to practice, the skill is too hard to delevople, or that it is not worth it.

Do not let your ego slip into the learning process. It does not belong there.

Go out and learn in humility. Go out and make a difference.
